Meditation Instruction for Teens and Children

About


Melissa has studied at Aromansse for over 15 years, encouraged to study and explore various meditation techniques and spiritual texts.  Also working in the corporate world, she is exploring Mindful Leadership and how meditation can  be incorporated into our work life.

She was particularly drawn to Buddhism compassion practices and self-compassion and this led to the discovery of the work of Kristen Neff, PhD.  She is now a trained teacher of the Mindful Self-Compassion program sponsored by University of California San Diego Center for Mindfulness.

Melissa has spent the last several years sharing the techniques she has learned and experienced, including teaching youth/teen meditation since 2012.   With guidance, she truly believes anyone can learn how to bring these tools into daily life.  She continues to deepen her own practice, to live her own life with awareness, kindness and compassion, both for others and for herself.
